Terms and guarantee
ReuniTree is a GAINIVO product. Here's what you buy, what we promise and the little we ask, in plain words.
What you buy
Your family's tree on ReuniTree, with a single payment. The launch price is $49 for the first 100 families; after that, $79. What you pay is what you see on the checkout page before you pay. Only the person who starts the tree pays: your family joins free.
The 15-day guarantee
If it's not for you within the first 15 days after you pay, email hello@reunitree.com from the address you paid with and we'll refund all your money, no questions asked. It goes back the same way you paid; your bank takes a few days to show it. Your tree is closed and kept in case you come back, or deleted if you ask.
For good
You pay once and the tree is your family's for as long as ReuniTree exists, with no monthly fees. And it's passed down: in "My account" you choose who you leave it to, and if one day you can't, that person writes to us and we hand it over. If ReuniTree ever had to close, we would tell you at least 90 days ahead and send you your family's tree, writings and photos. And in "My account" you can download your family's tree whenever you like: the family book to print, with the writings and photos, and the file that genealogy programs open (GEDCOM).
How you get in
You sign in with your email and a code, no password. Your family gets in with the personal link that you or someone in the family sends them: it works once and keeps their phone signed in. Treat those links like a key: whoever opens one gets in as that person. And everyone who's in also has their own link for their whole family: whoever's already in the tree gets in with it by saying who they are, and anyone who isn't yet gets put in their place by that person (or whoever looks after the tree).
What you upload is yours
What your family writes and uploads to its tree belongs to you. You only give us permission to store it and show it to your family. We never sell it or use it for ads.
What we ask of you
That it's your family: don't add people who aren't part of it. That what you upload is yours, or that you have permission to upload it. That you don't use the tree to hurt anyone. Whoever looks after the tree can remove what doesn't belong, and if something is used to cause harm, we can close that access.
What we do
Keep the tree working and seen only by your family, keep backups of what's there, and answer when you write. We do everything we can so ReuniTree is always available, but like any internet service, there may be times when it isn't.
If something changes
If these terms change, we update them here and change the date. What you already paid for doesn't change: your tree stays yours with a single payment.
How to reach us
Write to hello@reunitree.com. A person will answer.
